12th Funds Forum Frankfurt
Venture Debt
The reason for choosing this topic was, on the one hand, that since the KAGB amendment of 2015, debt funds can also be launched as AIFs for the first time in Germany without the requirement of a banking license, but in compliance with the KAGB rules for capital management companies. Another reason for choosing this topic was that the "state" also provides funds for venture debt in the public interest as part of its economic development activities, and the Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology (BMWi) and the Federal Ministry of Finance (BMF) announced a few months ago that they would significantly increase the volume of state funds.
Main focus:
- Practical aspects of the special debt fund manager regulation since the KAGB amendments in 2015, in particular KAMaRisk
- Economic aspects of international debt funds, especially fund terms, impact on the capital structure of SMEs etc.
